Timecode Alpha - Power of Prog - Artist of the Month

Founder member Peter Lazar has been composing songs for many years. Ranging from 70's flavoured symphonic-melodic rock in the vein of classic Yes, to, let's say, what fellow Swedes Pain of Salvation are now doing in the prog-metal genre of today.

Coming across Mads Claussen (Biscaya, Empire) to help out with lead vocals, also meant getting encouragement to present the demos on MySpace. An absolutely overwhelming result with a million plus visitors just craved for action in finally forming a band and produce an album.

Bringing in bassplayer Ken Sandin (Alien, DaVinci, Kee Marcello's K2),completed the main core of the Timecode project and plans for the procedure of the album were drawn up.

With the working title Freakshow it is now set for release in April 2009, with final mixes to be done at Sonic Train Studios by Andy LaRoque.

Some very talented session musicians are contributing to the recordings. Drummers Svetlan Råket and Anders Josefsson, lead guitarists Mattias Moberg and Johan Randén etc.

Stop by and congratulate them HERE

PAT METHENY Releases Orchestrion

'Now,' says Pat Metheny, 'ten years into the new century, it feels like time to try to create something particularly connected to the reality of this unique period in time.' What he's come up with, Orchestrion, is an adventurous 'solo' recording that pairs the composer-guitarist with a phalanx of remarkable, custom-made instruments played via solenoid switches and pneumatics, resulting in the most original set of his career.

10T Records is proud to announce the release of the brand new full length CD release by FROM.UZ -“Seventh Story”

Release Date: February 15, 2010.
This will be the Uzbekistan-based band’s 3rd official release on 10T Records.
FROM.UZ lit up the prog and fusion scene with their previous two releases,
consistently garnering spots on critics’ top 10 lists and drawing comparisons to
such stalwarts as Mahavishnu Orchestra, Weather Report and Liquid Tension
Experiment. Reenergized with a fresh new lineup of world-class musicians,
FROM.UZ returns with a new selection of intensely melodic hard prog-rock fusion.
On “Seventh Story”, FROM.UZ continues in the musical direction they have already
established, while simultaneously stretching into adventurous new territory.

Ostara - is the 3rd release for Wishing Tree

The Wishing Tree is an acoustic music project by Marillion's guitarist Steve Rothery and British vocalist Hannah Stobart who has a lovely ethereal quality to her voice.

Ostara features some delicate and ghostly harmonies, mandolin and understated guitars providing an elegant backdrop to the vocals. Rothery excels himself, playing some fine acoustic guitars and when he lets go with one of his trademark solos, he, as ever, makes the instrument sing.

This CD features live bonus performances of 'Ostara' and 'Fly', along with a live video of 'Fly'.
